Hey, this is pretty good.

The puppet thing was kind of pointless, the music wasn't in my taste, and it would have been better to have a replay button instead of a questionable picture of an almost nude boy after the credits, but everything else about this flash was pretty good. I look forward to more!

Meh...

The background being all white was terrible. It made things unclear for me. I thought the boy was a student waiting to get out of school but when he just started running all over the place that obviously wasn't the case, he would have gotten into some kind of trouble. All the stuff with the door(?) took too long. Your flash had a lot of good animation, but the motion tweening done with the painfully drawn out door scene probably had more frames than those that were animated. Overall, this works as a schoolwork, but not really entertaining as a NG flash.

MC-Booga responds:

Umm... the door scene was all done frame by frame. It was very time consuming.

Maybe it's just cause I need to sleep...

...But i found that flash to be hilarious. I don't normally laugh out loud, but this thing was so stupid and horrible that it was funny. I don't mean that in a bad way, i mean that it is hilarious for all the reasons that i think you meant it to be. Please make more flashes till the end of forever, thank you.

Umm... Wow... (Afraid that's not a good wow...)

Well... Where to begin? I really don't like to begin any of my reviews with the flaws of a flash... I really liked the original. I'm not much of a sprite fan but even I enjoyed the prequel. When I saw a drawn Mario I thought "Wow, this will be even cooler." I was terribly mistaken. For starters, the hand drawn mario seemed to just be tweened most of the time, giving him an even stiffer and more limited range of motion than a sprite. It was very distracting having the hand drawn mario surrounded by sprites and such. It could have just been me, but I really felt it clashed. More than anything what bothered me about this flash was the terrible screaming and the sound of guitars being drug along the ground behind cars (I'm assuming no one would write songs THAT bad) that accompanied every action scene. On second thought, every scene period. As my dissappointment reached its peak and I closed the window (I admit, I watched up to the point that mario had bowsers head strapped to his back and couldn't take any more) I read your authors comments... Wow. That was the final nail in the coffin. Human mario was turned into a sprite? Where did you draw this bs from? Yeah mario was sucked into the mushroom kingdom and all that great stuff but as the story goes he wasn't magically "turned into a pixel person" or something. After reading those comments i realized you were off your rocker and my dissappointment turned to pity. Uninstall flash please.

Well...

I assume that a great deal of time and effort must have gone into this considering it's length and such, that hasn't gone unnoticed by me. However, aside from it's length it's not too impressive. When I saw the first kermit kombat way back forever ago, i thought it was a funny idea and i laughed and applauded it. When i saw a kermit kombat 2 i was a bit horrified at the fact that it seemed like you were attempting to be dramatic or something. A huge convoluted plot involving kermit the frog? I didn't think it was a good idea, and after watching this flash i still feel that way. For starters, it seemed like you introduced way too many people in this flash. It was kind of confusing and didn't really give many of them the chance to develope very well. Secondly, this flash had way too much motion tweening. A little frame by frame here and there goes a long way. Your audio had problems in a few places where a person would suddenly sound like they were talking louder or into a tin can (watch it, you'll see what i mean). Your jokes were, to be frank, really not that funny. That cat thing that's supposedly a female but sounds like a man with marbles in his mouth, was particularly annoying. If the cat would have exploded from the waist down and cried out in agony as its legless torso struggled to crawl across the room, all the while dying a slow agonizing death, then i would have given you all high marks in spite of the flash's flaws, i hated that cat THAT much. Lastly, while this has nothing to do with how i rated your flash, i have to say wow, you look old. I placed your character at 25 or so, but in the bio it says "teen". So damn dude, that's all I've got to say, damn.

You seem bothered...

Well, for starters I'm not big on the whole comic books on newgrounds thing. I think a flash that has no animation truly lacks something. But for the brief period that the screen was panning I tried to overlook that. It was a little slow, but I was interested enough to watch... For a while. Then you started using a bunch of unnecessary profanity and irritating lines that no one in real life would use after middle school or so. As I felt my interest start to fade I realized just how long we had been in this same frame and I began to truly see that you planned to milk this one picture for all that it was worth. Finally, came the comment where in one instant I lost any and all respect and feeling of credibility for the character, the author, and quite frankly the series as a whole. It was that line about sucking "PRE-TEEN dick". It was very disturbing and, unless the character has been proven to be a pedophile in a previous episode, it was also very childish and unrealistic. If and only if that character is a child molestor worthy of the reference, then i suppose the comment is fitting, however that would add yet another element that would push me away from this series. Obviously it's a reflection on the author, I think you need to spend more time relaxing with your friends and venting frustration.

Well now...

Not exactly what i was expecting, but i've seen worse. there seems to be no common bond between these flashes aside from the fact that they're all big on stick figures. unfortunately, i'm not a stick fan, but i do admire the smooth animation in some of these shorts. for a stick flash, this was pretty good, but that's about as much of a compliment as i can give it.

As harsh as I want...

Well, the art is kinda cool. I'm not a fan of the "paper mario" animation, as you put it, but the art itself is pretty. Not bad for a first flash, though it left me rather dissappointed simply cause it was so short. I think i would have liked this a lot if it wasn't for that fact that is was so short. I definately think you should make more flashes. Again, I don't think the paper mario animation is very impressive, but if it's the style YOU like then stick to it man, cause no matter how good or bad something is it's bound to be loved by SOMEONE. If you ignore everything else I say, at least listen to this: my advice is to wait a bit longer on a project and make the final film a little bigger. It's good and all to make a 30 or so second flash that centers around one joke, but if you want the attention that i think you deserve you're going to need to hold out for a 2 minute or so flash at least. You have what it takes. Anyway, not bad for a first flash, keep it up.

Hectic.

I was looking for a word for this flash, I think hectic fits well. I like the art style, and if the animation was a bit slower (so that i could tell wtf is happening) i'd probably have plenty of compliments for that too. The song was kind of low quality. I know it's probably cause you were trying to keep filesize down but with all the shouting the guy does the song buzzes a lot, and kind of induces headaches. The lyrics were only readable about half of the time. This isn't the greatest flash i've ever seen and it lacks any real.. clarity of what's going on, so it wouldn't be a very good movie or preview, but for a site intro it's not too bad. Site intros never seem to hold together very well anyway, lol.
