It was a funny idea...

That would be so ridiculous, trying to tie these two to Ash somehow. Nice use of voice clips and stuff. I love your art, I've always loved your style. I still think you should practice animating a bit more though. Your pictures are pretty to look at, but the choppiness kind of spoils the effect for me. It would be a bit more work, but artists dedicated to providing their audience with top notch work, as I assume you guys are, are usually willing to put in that extra bit of effort. Aside from the slightly sluggish animation, this is a cool little work. I look forward to more from you.

What can I say?

It's exactly what it promises to be, an ordinary conversation. It's kind of funny at times but then again, conversations tend to do that when they last as long as this one does =X. The animations and such fit very well with the audio, that's pretty cool, but this flash doesn't really stand out as a best or worst for me.

"Teaser"... Hmm...

While this was a good flash work, as reviewers before me have probably pointed out, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The art was very nice, and you worked tweening in there almost without it being apparent at all. The sound effects were crisp and beautiful, fit very well (though I didn't enjoy the opening theme much). The backgrounds were gorgeous and detailed. This flash was very strong in most areas, but I felt it lacking in the area I hold highest: Plot. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure your series will have quite an entertaining plot, and after reading the author's comments I had a slightly better idea of what the plot was, but I didn't feel this really worked as a teaser, it seemed more like a "filler" episode. It would have been nice to get to know your main character just a little more, and to have a better idea of why all of this was going on. A narrative by her would have accomplished that. As I watched this I was a bit confused as to what was going on. I was, throughout the flash, honestly waiting to see an angel. I realize that you put some info in your author's comments, but that's like a movie director explaining his plot on Jay Leno, some people will see the movie without seeing the talk show, likewise, some people will see this flash without paying any attention whatsoever to the author's comments, and when that happens it is likely that a lot of them will walk away confused. That aside, I do look forward to your series. Keep up the good work and all that.

Almost voted 5!

This was really funny, a really great Metal Gear spoof. The art and animation were pretty nice and the voices were very well done. It was written really great too, ignore my ugly grammar. I was gonna vote 5, but I couldn't lower the quality. I'm using a particularly weak comp, so it got laggy which did a lot to kill the experience. So I gave you a 3 =P.

My Two...

Honestly, though I can tell you're against it, I can promise you that sound would greatly help your flash. I watched it and enjoyed it, though the total silence did kind of bother me. Your art is really pretty good, though there were a few "shots" that didn't seem shaded while others were shaded. If you get the time you should shade any picture that's going to show up for more than 1/20th of a second. One last criticism, the way you did the text boxes made some of them a little hard to read. Not all of them, but some of the more wordy ones would turn too transparent by the time I finished the second line or so, so I missed half the story in this flash =\

But it's a cool flash and I look forward to more of your work. Keep it up man.

There's no easy way to say this...

...So I'll get straight to the point: I really think this was a stupid move. The flash is nothing spectacular, of course, that can be expected from a flash that isn't completed. I'm not ripping on the quality per-say of LC's work, as I'm sure the movie would seem a bit less blamworthy if it was completed. However, despite the fact that I KNOW people will burn me for having this opinion, I think it was very stupid to post this flash here. I watched this flash on a visit to LC's site. The flash wasn't finished, but it was being showcased as a "current project" or something like that, meaning "this is what I'm working on, it's not done yet, don't expect it to be" so it was fine there. To see it, knowing that he would never complete it, it kind of got to me. It belongs on that site, yes, it fits there on HIS site. That site is essentially a hall of memories of him. And this flash works, as a sort of memory of him. But putting it on Newgrounds for people to vote on is rather stupid. It is unfinished, and not really that great, so you have people who are giving sympathy votes (which isn't really fair to living authors), and then you have people voting it down which kind of urinates on LCs legacy. A bad move all around. I respect the dead as much as God wants me to, I will not treat LC any worse now that he's dead than I would have if I knew him when he was alive, but gold-plating toilet paper just because he wiped his ass with it is not the way to go. Those of you who knew him remember him well, and many of us mourn his death, but whoever came up with the idea to put this flash in the portal (sadly, even if it was Tom Fulp himself), I must harshly disagree with your judgement.

Pretty good for something done so fast.

As seems to be the way with NG reviews, I'm going to disagree with a previous reviewer. LordDrucifer seems to go on about stealth in this piece. While I would agree that, despite the pace, the guy in the flash uses stealth for about the first 2/3rds of the flash, I have to say that, no matter what speed, later on he's not nearly as stealthy. Personally, I think of stealth as either not being seen, or not leaving anyone who DOES see you in the condition to pass that information on and eventually get back at you. When he escapes, there are several bullets zinging at him from different directions, leading me to believe he has plenty of eyes on him by then. For the author's sake, I would like to make it clear that his lack of stealth near the end has not affected my vote at all, I just wanted to point that out for drucifer. As far as my opinions on the piece, it's really not too bad. The music i've heard before in a Rodney Mullen video, so that's what i had in my head the whole time this flash was playing, lol, but it worked. The art is pretty good. The animation is kinda lazy, but then again, if you finished this in 4 days or so, i suppose that the style makes up for what it lacks in flair with time saving. I look forward to more flashes by you.

Lazy IS my style!! :D Wow, big review thanks! I'm glad it didn't effect your vote, I like missions and stuff that go pear-shaped, so I sorta made it when this guy got shot he sorta ditched the whole thing and said 'bugger this, I'm just gonna get out of here alive!' A human trait if there ever was one! :p Well... thats what I would do! haha

Very nice...

I liked this flash a lot, very original. It was pretty funny too, and your art style is so solid, you have it down really well. The only thing about this flash that drove me crazy was the way you pronounced Tifa and Yuffie's names... Ugh... I nearly screamed. But overall, very nice.

My opinion, nothing more...

There is a bit of buzz about this flash so I checked it out. In my opinion, the flash is a bit overhyped. The color scheme really gave it an eerie feel, that I liked. And the music (at first) added to the mood nicely. However, the music got a bit repetitive as time went on, and kind of annoying. Also I feel that I could have related much better to the flash had the people been... Well.. People, instead of a french fry with a head. Also, there were things about this flash that didn't seem to make sense to me (maybe you'll explain them if you respond) such as why the one smiling person started to lose their smile, or why they kept stabbing the french fry when he finally did smile. And... I can't help but ask what exactly you were doing with the ending? It went, harshly, against the mood of the film. I almost expected Tricky the Clown to appear. Like I said, this is only my opinion and you don't have to chew me out over it cause I'm sure the next reviewer will, but hopefully you can explain some of this to me if you get the time.

Wow...

Dude, I'm totally against sprites, but... Wow... Just... WOW! This movie must have taken some serious effort, and it paid off well. This is without question the greatest sprite flash I have ever seen in like... Eternity. Kudos to you my friend, I am seriously impressed (check my reviews, I don't hand out a lot of 10s, lol).

Be a blessing to others and you will be blessed.
