This game is surprisingly chatwords go by so faswanted to read it all but whenconds to read 9 seconds worth of dialeans sadly I missed half the story caushile the next line is popping up and flying by. You should have a butgo back and read the stuff I missthout it the whole thing is an unintelligible blur.

Your text went by too fast. That's the short version. I know that for you it probably doesn't seem that way (you already know what it says, your mind fills in the blanks) and for someone with above average reading speed it may be okay, but you have full 10 word sentences getting .8 seconds of screen time and stuff, over and over. Eventually I gave up. It didn't seem like I would be able to enjoy the game while making decisions based on 40% of the text. You should really either have a button to progress to the next screen-worth of text, have much less text, or have some button for pausing the text and maybe even going back to review the chat log.

Alternatively, you could have one of the opening options be "Accept that you're gay with someone who loves you and be happy, since the opinions of those who don't care about and accept you shouldn't matter since life's too short. After all, truthfully your sexuality is no one's business but you and the person you're putting your penis inside of." It would be a much shorter, happier game. Sorry your life sucks or whatever. Hope it gets better.

When I go left I can never go in any other direction again, he just keeps running left forever. You should adjust your movement code.

I like the art, the music, and the atmosphere. It's a fun idea too. Unfortunately, something seems off with the coding or something. Every time I press a key the game reacts as if I'm holding that key. So I'm constantly in motion unless I sit down and stand back up. This wasn't a problem until the game told me to close my eyes. I could never open them again.

I did the third level wrong and it just sat there. I started clicking and pressing escape and stuff to try to get a menu and it took me back to the world selection thing. I clicked on the furthest dot I had, assuming it would be where I left off at, but it was the second level I guess. Obviously I didn't feel like redoing that level so i tried to press escape again. Nothing happened. I hurried up and wasted my bonds cause I figured maybe that's the only time i can get back to the level select. Again, escape did nothing. Clicking furiously also did nothing, but this time I got an indicator telling me to press R and restart the level. Screw that. Why can I only get a menu on levels I haven't completed?

The graphics are rather cruddy and pixelated, the sound's not that impressive, the gameplay is okay, but with gamebreaking glitches I feel no urge to play any further.

This was... Confusing. It starts out with talk of two sword makers, the dedicated and devoted Muramasa and the smartass who wants to speak in stupid riddles so he can pretend to be cool when others see what he's talking about Masamune. They have a clash to see whose sword is stronger and Masamune's wins. All of that I understand. But Muramasa brings back a sword that no one can lift without dying? Or was Kim-whatever so weak that he just died really fast? And why do they comment that it's a sword no one can swing if you actually do have time to swing it? How did they move it?

And most importantly of all...

HOW DOES THE STORY JUMP FROM AN OPENING SCENE THAT TAKES FOREVER TO SOME COMPLETELY UNRELATED GUY?

If it's going to do that you really shouldn't have me spend the first hour in a cutscene about other people. You could have easily had the opening cutscene be narrated and in 30 seconds or less explained everything that that cutscene showed (plus that way you would have done it without making me hate the white swordmaker for his condescending roundabout way of speaking). This game would be better without a story. I honestly stopped playing after the tutorial because the opening convinced me there would be a coherent plot and then the start of the actual game quickly corrected that assumption.

vipervgames responds:

what did they do to your childhood!? calm down, you sad little person on the internet who probably did nothing but complain. - there's a cutscene in the options menu where you can view locked scenes and the full version of the tutorial cutscene. like all humans, not all could comprehend the power of the sword that's why some folks die by just lifting it. Anyway, i don't know why i even have to explain the game to someone who did not even give it a chance and rated it so low. so PLEASE! next time don't ever play any of my games again. if you see a game is made by me, don't click on it.

I'm guessing that the code for movement is something along the lines of an if/then statement that checks left first, cause once I go left I can never go right again. I can walk right and THEN go left if I start the game that way, but as soon as I even tap left I'm walking left permanently.

TooDX responds:

I'm sorry this is happening for you Blessing :( We've never seen this bug before. If you have some time, I'd love to try and get this fixed for you.

Do you happen to have any joystick to keyboard programs running? A stray analog stick could be constantly pressing the 'A' key, sending your character left all the time. Does this happen with both players if you select bro-op mode? Does the character always go right if you hit the right button first? Any info will help!

I was able to walk left. I restarted twice, allowing me to walk left with 3 different disabilities. All of them seemed to have the disability of "walk left until you hit that ledge and then never ever move again" though.

Kcori responds:

That's strange and frustrating. I don't know why that happened, and I think it might be out of my control, unfortunately.

Decided to give this a chance. I began the first area and was slightly surprised that there was no tutorial or anything since there are no controls listed in the author's comments either so I figured it must be basic stuff. I clicked, nothing happened, so my next thought is arrow keys or wasd. I pressed the right arrow key and my character took one step forward before coming to a stop. Zombies began coming for me. Up, down, left, right, I began pressing them all multiple times and getting absolutely no reaction from the character. Desperate, I pressed the spacebar. This made my character jump. And jump. And jump. In fact for the remainder of the time I played this game my character was jumping straight up as soon as his feet touched the ground despite my having only pressed the spacebar once. This bought me a little time since 2/3rds of the zombies attacks were now missing. I turned to ASD, each of which caused my character to punch while he's jumping. Unlike the one-press spacebar, punching only occured when I actually pressed a punch button. Every now and then I went back and checked the mouse, spacebar, and the arrow keys but nothing ever changed. I was incapable of moving any further. I was incapable of ceasing my jumping. I was incapable of being entertained by fighting zombies while hopping in place.

When I saw that this was a turn-based RPG I was crazy excited. Unfortunately, when I attempted to load it it went to a permanent black screen after the stairs logo. I reloaded the page multiple times with the same result. All that was visible was the volume thing (so I can mute and unmute the nonexistant sound on this black screen). Since no other flash on newgrounds is doing this for me I have to assume there is some programming error you should look into.

There should be a medal for playing more than 30 seconds. Couldn't read any of the text. I know you were trying to be funny but it failed miserably and just ended up annoying. For instance I THOUGHT that the intro thing said I could click it to skip the scene but I clicked everywhere on the screen and it didn't advance. The graphics were garbage, the plot was garbage, the audio was... Not bad, but that's not nearly enough to save this train wreck. This is the kind of flash so impressively bad that I feel the need to return every day for a month just to 0 bomb it.
