Good but...

I made the mistake of clicking the button to keep playing after ending the game and then decided I wanted to restart after all but I couldn't find any method of restarting the game without reloading the page. That's kind of annoying. Other than that though, this is a pretty awesome game. I blew an hour or two on it.

Fun!

I have a feeling that 8.13% is a made up number to stroke my ego, but it worked. You get a 10 for making me feel smart.

Everyone loves a good ego stroke. :P

What a shame...

This game's kind of fun, but all of it's good qualities fall under the dark shadow of the fact that you guys were either too lazy to learn how to let me have a save file on my own machine or trying to be devious and draw people into registering on your that site. The online save file for the sake of being able to use it on any computer has its logic, but that should have been put in as an extra option or not at all if it meant sacrificing the ability to save on my own machine. This seems like a stupendously foolish mistake on your part, and any game that asks me to put in my facebook password is highly questionable. Could you make a version that lets one save without the hassle of loading a completely different site and filling out forms (and receiving who knows how many emails)? That would be a much wiser move.

Potential.

I liked this game, but there are a few things you need to tweak. For starters, the computer acts rather predictably and doesn't really change its methods based on how you attack it. I beat the first few people easily by repeatedly punching and allowing them to run into my fist. Then I discovered that you could simply bounce them like hacky sacks (by repeatedly using the down and attack move) to the end of the stage over and over for a flawless victory, which worked on every opponent afterwards. At one point I tested the block button against Sakura, and it had no effect. Despite facing her, blocking, and making sure she was definitely on the side I was facing (rather than moving through me) she was still able to attack straight through my block as Sasuke. It's also a little irritating that when you knock someone down they can stay down for the rest of eternity, leaving you with no method of attacking them. Also, it's rather annoying to have to sit through the credits. You made the game, yes, congratulations, but you should still offer a button, hell, even a cheatcode to skip the damn credits. Likewise, the animation for the title screen is nifty the first few times, but gets irritating when I have to sit through it every time I come back to the title screen, there should be a button to skip the intro straight into the menu being ready to go. Also, when I beat the game it took me back to the preloader which forced me to wait for no apparent reason, which is possibly the most irritating thing I dealt with. You should have the game go from the end of the credits to the main menu rather than from the end of the credits to the preloader. Altogether, not bad, but some things to improve on.

Potential

This seems like a good idea, however, the size settings seem to be wrong as it does not display properly for me. This would not be a problem if you hadn't disabled the right-click, but since you did the game appears glitchy to me and I cannot give you a high score.

A review instead of an ass kissing!

This game had potential and it's a shame that you won't be finishing it. On the plus side:
I admire the diverse amount of combos and moves available.
Though I'm not a fan of sprites, these were pretty clean looking.
The (potential) roster was pretty crowd pleasing.

Unfortunately:
It is true that you can win by just holding the fireball or kunai button.
Even though this is a beta, since the game won't be released, this is the "final" version, making the roster of 2 characters pretty disappointing.
There were occasional glitches, such as being stuck in the air after my character desides to shield in midair.
And just making the characters female doesn't do much in the way of legal dodging, especially when they don't look female at all, they just look like their regular versions with unnatural boob implants or in some cases (such as naruto) extremely out of place clip-on hair. If you do intend to make them female you should make them appear like ACTUAL females instead of scary trannies.
Also, your camera loses sight of the action when the characters get too far apart, you should allow it to zoom out or something. It's not too much more code considering that you've already got it to follow them.

As a beta this didn't stun me but it did look like it had a lot of potential to make a great game. As a newgrounds flash, I'm afraid that despite the many moves, the lack of playable characters makes the entertainment value of this game die out fast. Then again, I'm sure you expected that. When you submit something saying "I never finished this and I'm never going to" you already know that it's not all it could be. I hope that having at least one actual review will help you improve in future works. Good luck, and stick with it.

Well

Despite your author's comments, if you didn't want it to be seen and reviewed then this was definitely not the place to put it. You are right and there are some things that could be improved, regardless of what your sexual orientation is. The music seems very out of place, you might try using music that sounds more like fight music next time. The button just repeated the same attack unless I waited several seconds after the first click, so you might want to fix a glitch like that before you submit anything else. The art wasn't great but I could tell that you weren't going for anything too impressive. I was pretty confused because although Itachi won at first, in the actual plot Sasuke ends up winning and in your flash they both have Akatsuki outfits which doesn't make much sense because they were never in it together. You don't do a good job of explaining it really either, and the random pokeball appearance is just more confusing. Also, why is Itachi's name still Itachi during that scene but Sasuke becomes Samski or something? The pokeball on the left afterwards doesn't seem to do anything. Keep at it though, you'll improve I bet.

Cool.

Not bad, kinda fun. But I accidentally got my homing rocket thing stuck on the play button and then, despite clicking on the rocket, it counted as clicking on the play button so I could do nothing about it. The glitch was insanely irritating, so I have voted lower as a result.

Maybe I'm missing it.

I couldn't figure out how to make a male character, despite this being called an Anime Character Maker and not an Anime Chick Maker. I feel as though I've been lied to and betrayed.

xdanond responds:

My apologies, I should have made the icons a bit clearer, but the male option is the blue button at the bottom next to the email address :)

Not bad

A decent enough game. The falling acceleration is too extreme, it's annoying that you have to click to progress dialog instead of just pressing the interaction button, the game is pretty simple, and it's extremely irritating that even when I said I don't want to learn about knife throwing I still had to sit through the blabbering about it. Other than that it's an alright game.

Be a blessing to others and you will be blessed.
