This was fun and the effects were very cool. A few things I'd change though. For starters, the links at the bottom of the page have gotten in the way for me on a few occasions, they should be put somewhere that we can call on them if we need them but not always on the screen. Also, it would be nice if there were a way to turn the music off without turning off all of the sound. Lastly, the game glitched on level 14 for me and made the objects immovable. So you've got a few glitches to work out. Aside from those things, this was a fun little timekiller.

Not bad, but it could definitely use improvement. There's not a lot of incentive to use more than the standard kick combo. It has the best reach and will get the job done, plus the AI seems to rely on it way too much so that makes it your best bet. At the same time that makes the game a little boring since it doesn't encourage variety. The art is nice. The animation is decent but the bad guys should react to attacks a little more. The controls are rather clunky and sluggish. When you attempt to turn Pico around to attack someone behind him he stalls for a full second or so, meaning you have to turn around in advance or else he'll simply attack the air while he gets beat up from behind. In a game like this, that's EXTREMELY annoying. Also there wasn't a whole lot to this game, I'd like to move to new places and stuff after clearing a screen but instead more guys were thrown at me in this same room.

All in all it's fun to look at and it's pretty cool for a short time, but lack of variety in enemies and scenery, and the encouragement to rely on a single combo make this lose it's shine all too quickly.

AcetheSuperVillain responds:

The turning delay is intentional to give it a hint of iRL flavor and force you to think before you act. It's not that hard to execute your reversal attacks when you need to strike behind you. Air kick will also change direction immediately.

I think you're right about the kicking combo. I've switched around the numbers a little, which I hope will fix it.

I'll be sure to work on the controls and add more backgrounds in future titles, thanks for that insight.

Though it was neat to see and hear all of those old Nintendo things, I got as far as that bubblecrab thing in the zelda level and realized it's telling me I'm getting achievements but none of them are actually unlocking. I've reloaded this page three times and it still says I have no achievements. As a result, my desire to play this game any further has disintegrated.

Meh...

The Good:
-The climbing is fun.
-Everything feels fast.
-Anything feels better when combos are involved.
-The music, sound effects, and beating people up are all really awesome for the first 15-20 seconds.

The Bad:
-Not much of a game, just "mash this key over and over while you listen to techno!"
-Sprites in general are overused and pretty much always look crappy, do some animation, dude!
-I can understand momentum carrying you when you run, but when taking a single step feels like you're on ice there's a problem.
-Secrets aren't fun to find when the creator of the game basically leads you to them by the wrist before you even play. People are smart, and newgrounds has thousands of visitors every day. If there's a secret, trust that someone will find it. It's a little condescending to assume that no one with internet access can find your secrets without your help.
-If there IS some oddly specific secret that no one could find by luck, wait 6 months or so, and THEN drop the bomb. People who were done with your game will come back, plus you will have given the diehard easter egg hunters time to take their crack at it and they won't feel like they're having easy mode forced upon them.

Pretty interesting.

I'll start with what I like:
-The animation is smooth, which is a big plus.
-The music is fitting and well done. Random generation is a plus as well.
-Isaac is a sympathetic character.
-I saw Isaac's doodlepenis.

And what I don't like:
-I don't like that Isaac's head faces me no matter which direction he moves, that seems quite lazy.
-The simplicity of the art style is too basic to make it unique or recognizable like South Park, Simpsons, or even Dan Paladin's basic-but-identifiable style. Instead this seems to be common stick 2.0.
-"3+ hidden characters"? 10+, 100+, even 5+ I suppose makes sense but when you use a weird number like 3 and slap a + on it, it usually means "that number + 1 or 2, but we want you to be way more impressed than you should be." I'm not a fan of cheap marketing attempts.
-Horribly disfiguring Isaac with cybernetic implants is fun from a gameplay perspective, but after establishing him as a character to feel sorry for this just feels horrifically wrong.
-I saw Isaac's doodlepenis.

As a final note, I realize we all have to get by somehow and I certainly wish you the best of luck with selling your game. I hope one day to market stuff on the internet for a little extra pocket change, so sincerely I can relate. However, I think sites like Newgrounds may make this difficult since many games of roughly the same quality level as this one appear here for free. Overall, I find this game to be intriguing, and though I laughed at the thought before, I may end up purchasing this game at some point. You should probably market it as only costing $3+ though...

Sloppy.

The music is good and the programming has very few glitches, but this seems like a disorganized mess more than one solid game. Even Warioware is less thrown together. Lol.

A good experiment with coding though I imagine and even though the art is pretty bland, the linework is very clean. So... Yeah... Go you for that!

Very Good.

The last reviewer admitted to playing while reviewing, meaning he was probably in the early levels. He probably found out pretty quick that it's not so easy past lvl 30 or so. Either that or he was playing on easy (lame). This is a great game though with many options. Very well done.

What?

So Justin Bieber is supposed to be performing and somehow gets onto the field with a team. He's not a ninja and no security is making any effort to get him off the field, so clearly he must have been invited or something, but the goal is to attack him? What dicks the Barca team must be. It really just seems like you jumped on the "hate Justin Bieber" bandwagon, and that's getting stale. It would be a much better idea to focus on a solid plot or something in the future rather than banking on how much a celebrity is hated. Also, if you are going to build a game around a celebrity, you should at least make sure your version looks like the celebrity. XD

Hmm...

Very similar to that doodle god game. Art's okay, sound is a little repetitive, but trying to fool users into doing something on another site? That's low. Like really low.

Be a blessing to others and you will be blessed.
