[Lil' Pea]

Um... Well... This video did have its good points, but I feel that this video and this song should not have come together.

Here's what I liked:
-The animation was pretty good. You are a talented animator.
-The art was decent.
-You handle different styles well. I'm not a fan of random style switches like that, but you drew what you set out to draw well.

Here's what I didn't like:
-The song. It's extremely random with a whiny voice and no real structure. It's the kind of thing you'd strum out while sitting around with a small group of friends, but not the kind of thing worthy of being recorded and put on the interwebz unless you're fully prepared for the kind of ridicule I'm giving your right now. This song gives amazing blowjobs, figuratively speaking.
-The disconnect between the video and the song. Pretty much everything beyond the lines about being a pea didn't relate much to what was in the video.
-Everything between green guy and livingpenisheadman. The pea runs into him so he gets mad, then comes a large section of video that you tried to sync up to some really random and repetitive lines. Why does the bully bother to sit there and listen to the green thing whine for so long without physically assaulting him further or leaving? Why doesn't the green thing fight back if he can bulk up to insane muscle size at will? Why do they shift back and forth between angry face and sex eyes 72 times while the green guy repeats the same lines? You should have switched scenes or characters or something because that whole scene got really weird and confusing, which wasn't helped by the whiny eunuch supplying the voice.

You have talent as an animator, but poor taste in music and some unusual writing prevent me from enjoying this flash much.

Whoa that's a long response! Here's the "short" answer: The song "Pea" is by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their album "One Hot Minute" made in 1995. This video was more of a tribute to the song and an exercise on random animation. As for the Lil' Pea and "livingpenisheadman" (lol), have you heard of "fighting without fighting"? You don't have to fight to win. :)

[Legend of Korra]

It would be mean of me to sugar coat it. You'll never learn anything if I just lie and say this was great.

The truth is, this was horribly random.

First, I'm not sure why you had to involve Toph in this at all. She and Korra aren't young at the same time, as a Korra fan I figured you knew that. That aside though, she didn't DO anything. She got beat up. If it was supposed to be the reason they were fighting, why did Vegeta attack Toph? Why are they in the same world? How are Korra and Toph both that age? Why is Korra in the middle of nowhere alone with Toph and Vegeta? There's a lot you didn't explain, so you might as well go all the way and just have it be "we're fighting for no reason".

Second, the audio was really really bad. The loud music both at the beginning and the end were horrible songs that had nothing to do with Korra or DB. The way the flash jumped voices was horrible and, although I practically never feel this way, in this case I think even text would have been better than the audio you used.

Third, the animation was pretty choppy and bad. No, it wasn't newgrounds fault, cause the stuff that you tweened I could still tell was moving at 30 fps, but the stuff that you did frame by frame on looked really choppy. Maybe it was BECAUSE it was right there next to 30 fps stuff. In that way I think you shot yourself in the foot.

Lastly, the icing on the cake was the end, where you used a final text screen to talk down Dragon Ball. What was the point of THAT? We could already tell you like Korra more by the way the flash went, AND your author's comments, but you had to make sure you crammed it down our throats with a closing screen of text to tell us. A little redundant.

I'll give you a star for at least attempting to animate, but this flash is a stinker.

The animation is great, the audio is pretty bad, and the art falls somewhere in the middle. It doesn't seem very funny, but that might be because I can't understand half of what's said. Subtitles would be a good idea. Also it definitely loses points since it showed up when I searched for Action flashes, and this is most certainly not.

It was alright. The art could use some improvement but the animation wasn't too shabby. The characters hairstyles were a little iffy but maybe that's more common where you come from. I kept waiting for one of them to rape the other but since that didn't happen I'll just have to keep watching and see where the plot goes from here. Who doesn't like PB and J though?

I agree with you about the hairstyles, looking at it now they seemed a bit OTT but I can easily work around that :) and to get better at the art, I'm currently working on doing life drawings, which i've been recommended to do by not only my tutor but an animation on deviantart too.

oh my! one rapes the other!? D: never thought and want to go to that extreame on this :P sorry if that's what you were expecting XD but Im hoping part two will be a bigger success and based on what you and others have said about it, I'll take the comments in and improve for part two later on :)

[Dork Legends S01E01]

This flash confuses me a bit. I assumed that the little video in the back was what you were submitting and the guys in the front were just an add-on thing, but since the video in the back is so tiny the text is pretty much impossible to read. I don't see why you couldn't have the guys in the front only be there during the preloader or disappear when you press play or something, that would have easily fixed this situation. On the other hand, if I rate you based on the guys in the foreground, I'm left with some irritating vocals, very limited animation, and not really a plot or pun, just a whiny rant. I'm not sure what program you use that won't allow you to export videos as swf files (which would easily solve the problem you seem to be having with newgrounds people) but do you really think it's wise to post it here at all?

I'm not going to rush into a biker gang and tell them they HAVE to let me in the gang even though I'm driving a golf cart. It seems like you just want to pick a fight for the sake of picking one, to be honest. You can't really fault people for disagreeing with you when you seem to be raging so hard. When flash cartoons are drawn they typically come out at higher quality when exported as swf videos than avi, so if your problem is that people rate you lower because the quality is lower that seems silly. Especially in cases like this where you could have put out a high-quality video but instead garbled the screen with the two unnecessary characters.

Realistically, and I'm being sincere here, what do you hope to accomplish by posting videos here and calling people at newgrounds idiots? I know you're already thinking about how you're going to tell me off or whatever, but put that aside for a second and SERIOUSLY ask yourself if telling them they're dumb is going to get you a higher score or make them accept you or something.

You don't HAVE to post on newgrounds. You seem to have a youtube channel and your author's comments make it pretty clear that you favor youtube, so why not just post there and be satisfied with it? You know there are idiots here, so just show off your stuff in the place that accepts you. Then there's no rage from you, no rage from them, no rage anywhere. Everyone is happy, everyone wins, everyone enjoys life.

Tarilefreak, the lowest review score I currently see on the page, very kindly explained that he feels people don't like the youtube thing simply because we all like newgrounds, it's a cool place to us, and when you belittle it and talk down about it people take offense. And that's true. As human beings anything we feel proud to be a part of (a family, a club, a country, etc), if that's insulted then we will feel we've been insulted by association. Despite a surprisingly civil review, you completely twisted his words in your reply (something I'm not looking forward to) and lashed out at him for it.

My advice, and I mean this in the nicest way possible my friend, is to tune out the people who are dicks (if that's me, then hey, go for it) and put that energy into enjoying what you do, however you decide to do it. If you just love what you make, eventually you'll have plenty of fans who love it too, and the people who don't you won't even be stressed about. Ranting and raging PROBABLY won't improve your scores much...

[R.Battles:Goku vs Naruto]

Why is Goku in English but Naruto isn't? Both started Japanese and both were dubbed over. Also, I wouldn't really call this battle random, many have speculated about it and there are even games where these two CAN fight. A truly random battle would be something like Max Payne versus Link, or Kung Fu Panda versus Knuckles the Echidna, or Betty White versus death from old age.

Also, animation > sprites.

Kinda neat. With minimal animation and only three or so backgrounds you managed to make an entertaining flash. Moreover, you managed to make an entertaining MLP flash that didn't have Spike.

Here's what I liked about it:
-The art was solid. Very clean and precise.
-The animations were good. Nothing too complicated, but decent for what was there.
-The audio was good. There was a difference in audio quality between the two voices which was mildly distracting, but by themselves each was decent.
-The idea is... Unique.

Here's what I didn't:
-I don't get how he was magically changed into a horse. I realize that it was the only way to keep the bit with the... Pen thingy that I can't remember the name for in there, but other than being a plot device I don't see how it made any sense.
-Spike is nowhere to be seen.
-The flash worked for a conversation and could have ended with him leaving, but I don't feel like it really set anything up for the next part. I just don't have that "I wonder what happens next!" feeling. Some subtle foreshadowing would be nice to keep viewers intrigued.
-Spike should be here but he isn't.
-Although the animation was fair for a "talking heads" situation, they really didn't move as much as they could have and they didn't interact with the environment at all, which caused sort of a boring disconnect between the characters and the background.
-There's a character named "Spike" who is the only good thing to ever come out of My Little Pony. You should have found a way to incorporate him.

Overall, this is a good flash with nice art and enjoyable writing, but more could have been done to set up what appears to be an inevitable sequel.

it seems most of the things you disliked pertain to how this was written which is not my department. The audio I used is actually a couple of years old, made when MLP was still building up steam.

You're right about the disconnection with the environment, and I'll try to do better next time.
